The Bees, They Hum

Spring
has sprung,

the
bees,

they
hum.

Petals
peek,

seek
the sun.

Blush
of bottlebrush,

iris
unfurling.

Like
sunset in the east,

wisteria
hints,

easing
open myriad doors

of
papery homes.

Wattle
golden,

cheers
with life

– for
life,

echoing
the blaze

of
our far-flung star.
