Recently did the drive from Willunga in South Australia to Tasmania. Ferry was great – a small cruise ship really. Highlights were Hubby’s GPS phone device finally getting us to the port with two minutes to spare (gulp!), spotting dolphins in the wake and Disco Bingo!
Lots of wines, beer and cider to sip, landscape to ogle and rain to shower.
Behind me here is the Franklin Gordon National Park – thank goodness it was saved back in the day by people of vision! On my back is an awesome jacket picked up at a second hand shop in a sleepy little town, misted with rain and blessed with hot soup in a bakery!
So much more: MONA, The Makers’ Workshop, local produce, Mt Field National Park, eclectic accommodation from The White House to The Welcome Stranger, Tassie Botanic Gardens, Cataract Gorge, platypus at dusk, sumac and Turkish pide and Cambridge House in Geeveston.
Hopefully we trod lightly and shed some economic prosperity from our purse strings. Thanks, Tassie.
